Dr. Imad Hashim Ahmad
Dr. Imad Hashim is a consultant neuro and spine surgeon with more than 35 years of experience. He received his medical degree from Mosul Medical College, Iraq in the year 1977. He got his F.R.C.S. in General surgery in 1982 & FRCS, in Neurosurgery in 1986 at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. He is an Adjuvant Professor of Neurosurgery, Sharjah Medical College. He was the President of the Emirates Neuroscience Society. He is currently an education advisor for the AO Spine Middle East. He is a reviewing editor for The Global Spine Journal. He has participated in over 250 international neuro and spine treatment conferences throughout the world. Some of them as the Chairman or as the Education Advisor. He has several research papers and publications on Neuro spine treatments.

Dr. Aziz has served as consultant neurosurgeon at SSMC since September, 2021. Prior to joining SSMC, Dr. Aziz served as consultant and head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Mediclinic, Consultant neurosurgeon at Tawam hospital.
Dr. Aziz obtained his medical degree from the University of Alexandria in Egypt in 1998. He completed his master’s degree in surgery in 2003 and obtained his Ph.D. in neurosurgery in 2010 from the University of Alexandria as well. In 2005, Dr. Aziz received his fellowship in skull base, endovascular neurosurgery, and neuro-anatomical studies at Keio University in Japan. He later received his training at the Foundation A. Rothschild in France in 2008, followed by a research fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in the U.S. in 2009.

Dr. Babak Humapour
Dr Homapour is currently Chief of Neurosurgery at SKMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was previously working as a paediatric neurosurgeon at Monash Children’s Hospital in Melbourne Australia from 2017 -2021. He completed his medical and neurosurgical training in the UK. This includes a one-year Fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery, at the Great Ormond Street Hospital London, the largest and busiest unit in the UK for children with neurological disorders. He has a wide range of experience in clinical, operative, academic and management aspects of paediatric neurosurgical practice. He has been involved in the care and surgery of children with highly complex conditions including spinal and cranial dysraphism, spinal deformity, epilepsy, supra/infratentorial tumours, vascular disorders such as Moya Moya and AVMs, as well as more general neurosurgical conditions such as trauma and CSF disorders. He has a further two-year post CCT Paediatric Neurosurgery fellowship experience from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. He has also completed a fellowship in Complex spine and deformity surgery in the Orthopaedic department at Southmead Hospital Bristol and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, with both adult and paediatric practice.
He has a strong academic track record with an MSc in Surgical Sciences, multiple publications and national/international presentations.
