Prof. Nicandro Figueiredo is a highly accomplished spinal neurosurgeon with a wealth of experience in his field. He received his medical education, master's degree and PhD in neurosurgery at the University of Brasília (UnB), Brazil, where he later completed his residency in neurosurgery at the Base Hospital of Brasilia (HBDF).

He furthered his training with fellowships in spine surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA, and the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, USA. Also achieved his post-doctorate in Spinal Neurosurgery at the University of Wisconsin , USA.

Currently, Prof. Figueiredo a spinal neurosurgeon at King’s College Hospital in Dubai, UAE. In addition to his clinical roles, he holds a position as adjunct professor in the Mohammed Bin Rashed University, Dubai, UAE and works as the academic editor of the section of Spine Surgery for the “Journal Medicine®” in the USA.
