Dr Homapour is currently Chief of Neurosurgery at SKMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was previously working as a paediatric neurosurgeon at Monash Children’s Hospital in Melbourne Australia from 2017 -2021. He completed his medical and neurosurgical training in the UK. This includes a one-year Fellowship in Paediatric Neurosurgery, at the Great Ormond Street Hospital London, the largest and busiest unit in the UK for children with neurological disorders. He has a wide range of experience in clinical, operative, academic and management aspects of paediatric neurosurgical practice. He has been involved in the care and surgery of children with highly complex conditions including spinal and cranial dysraphism, spinal deformity, epilepsy, supra/infratentorial tumours, vascular disorders such as Moya Moya and AVMs, as well as more general neurosurgical conditions such as trauma and CSF disorders. He has a further two-year post CCT Paediatric Neurosurgery fellowship experience from Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. He has also completed a fellowship in Complex spine and deformity surgery in the Orthopaedic department at Southmead Hospital Bristol and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, with both adult and paediatric practice.

He has a strong academic track record with an MSc in Surgical Sciences, multiple publications and national/international presentations.
